SmartRoads was built from the ground-up to provide a quick and easy method of diagramming a crash scene. Default lane widths, automatic placement of vehicles in the normal direction of travel, and the ability to save templates for quick use later all allow you to save time creating diagrams.

Vehicle Specs Database

Quickly place vehicles on your scene that match the exact dimensions of the vehicle involved in the collision. The database includes over 4000 vehicle dimensions (including many advanced measurements such as curb weight) from 1971-2008.

Damage Vehicles in seconds

The built-in vehicle damager allows you to quickly adjust the vehicle to depict the appropriate damage taken by the vehicle during the crash. SmartRoads even includes measurements to allow you to see the exact amount of crush taken by the vehicle.

Measurement System

SmartRoads includes the ability to import measurements from popular totalstation models, and to input the measurements manually if desired. A quick and easy wizard allows the user to view the measurements and sync their scene with the points captured.

Curved Roads

You have the choice of either dropping an ?Arc Road Segment? or converting a straight segment to a curved segment. A curved road segment behaves the same way a straight one does!

Roundabouts

This new component allows the user to place fully editable roundabouts in a scene that renders in 2D and 3D. Roundabouts are placed and fully edited in minutes.

SmartRoads Properties

Another time-saving feature of FX3 and SmartRoads is the SmartRoads Properties dialog. Set up your global SmartRoads properties such as lane width, line color/style,.... and your roadways will always come out with those setting by default. Saving you time in the long run. These settings will be saved and remain start FX3 or SmartRoads the next time.

Ease of Use

Only FX3 emulates many Windows functions for right click menus, and many other functions making it really simple to understand and navigate the program. The Actions tab displays all available functions for the selected tool or object. Using a mousewheel mouse for navigation makes FX3 unparalleled in ease of use, no matter how large your scene is.

Autocad compatible

Autodesk users can export their diagrams in .dxf or .dwg format and import them directly to FX3 with full confidence.

Small File Size

A fully rendered scene with a complex animation is often less that 100KB thanks to our powerful compression system.

Word, Powerpoint, and other applications

FX3 fully supports exporting diagrams into images. These exported images can be used in Word documents, Powerpoint presentations, RMS systems or just about any program that accepts images.?

Measurement System

Take Measurements on the incident scene and insert them into the Measurement Log for 100% accurate diagrams of incident scenes. Measurement points can be easily connected to using the drawing tools.
